Driving in Romania

There are various challenges to driving in Romania. We are impressed by the quality of the highways on the major routes. In the East of the country though, the roads through towns are appalling - sealed, but heavily patched (or not). Not least of the challenges is the need to be constantly alert to drive defensively - Romanian drivers are aggressive and breath-takingly idiotic. Then there are the little things to slow you down:
